FAQ

Common questions

Do drivers need to install an app?
No. The fault report form opens directly in any mobile browser — on Android or iPhone — when the driver scans the QR code sticker mounted on the vehicle. There is nothing to download, no account required, and no registration process. The vehicle details, including the licence plate and vehicle type, are already pre-filled automatically from the QR code, so drivers can identify the fault, optionally attach a photo, and submit the report in under a minute.
How do I set up FleetFault for my fleet?
Register a free account, then add each of your vehicles to the fleet dashboard. FleetFault generates a unique QR code for every vehicle that you can print and stick inside the cab, on the dashboard, or on the door frame. Once the stickers are in place, your drivers can start reporting faults immediately — no training session required. The whole setup takes less than ten minutes regardless of whether you have three vehicles or three hundred.
What types of vehicle faults can drivers report?
Any fault the driver notices. Common categories include engine warning lights, tyre damage, brake and steering issues, lighting faults, bodywork and windscreen damage, fluid leaks, and load-securing problems. Every report automatically captures the vehicle licence plate, fault category, a free-text description, optional photo attachments, the driver's GPS location, and a precise timestamp. Fleet managers can review the full fault history for each individual vehicle on the dashboard and export all records as CSV for insurance or compliance purposes.
Does FleetFault support compliance with fleet inspection regulations?
FleetFault is designed to support fleet operators in meeting their duty-of-care and compliance obligations. By maintaining a structured, timestamped, and photo-backed record of every reported vehicle defect, it supports the daily vehicle check workflows required under German UVV Abfahrtskontrolle and DGUV V70 rules, UK DVSA driver walkaround check guidance, and general EU fleet safety requirements. All data is processed and stored within the European Union in compliance with GDPR. Each submitted report is immutable, providing a reliable audit trail.
